Common malfunctions and ERROR Codes for Jura Z5, Z6, Z7, Z9
ERROR 8: The brew group is unable to return to its home position. Most likely cause is the worn out brew group piston o-rings. Replace all o-rings and lubricate the moving parts using this repair kit. If unable to repair it, you can replace the brew group. Other parts related to ERROR 8 include brew drive gear motor, encoder, and magnet valve.
ERROR 6: Ceramic valve or multiway valve fails to return to its original position. Replace the ceramic valve.
FILL BEANS ERROR: The grinding chamber inside the grinder assembly is clogged or blocked due to oily coffee beans residue. May need to take apart the grinder assembly, replace the conical burrs or upper burr. Thoroughly clean out the ground coffee outlet to the brew group. When this outlet is blocked, the ground coffee beans can't be pushed forward. Please do not use oily and dark roasted coffee beans in these super automatic machines. Video tutorial to replace the grinder conical burrs is posted on our YouTube channel.
FILL SYSTEM: If replenishing the water tank with water does not rid of the message, then you will need to descale the machine. The calcium sediments inside the water passages has partially blocked the water messages and water can't run through the at normal flow. Thoroughly descale the machine, run multiple cycles, and try again. This error could also be related to leaking fittings/connectors inside the machine. Other items to check are membrane regulator, dispensing valve, and invensys pump.
